Classical Ballet

 

 

INDUSTRY DANCE holds classical ballet in high regard and understands it's importance to the dancer, we offer all of our students the Royal Academy of Dance classical syllabus, along with open classes & guest teachers.

 

INDUSTRY DANCE'S classical ballet department faculty is second to none with our teachers having performed professionally and studied with the Royal Ballet School.

The Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D) is held in high regard and teaches deportment, posture, core strength, body awareness, strength, flexibility and turn out to name a few.

 

Classical Ballet is a dancers base, it creates a solid foundation for you to build your dance house upon.

It is encouraged by INDUSTRY DANCE that our students study classical for these reasons. We have an extremely high standard of dance to uphold. We have a 100% pass rate with the majority of students gaining Distinctions. Classes are offered from Pre-schooler to Advanced 1. We then offer the elite student guidance onto full-time training and have had many students successfully move onto this. INDUSTRY DANCE can cater to all students classical needs.

 

OPEN CLASSICAL

This class is for those students who are interested in INDUSTRY DANCE expert tuition, but no exams will be entered for this classical ballet class. We will nurture your love of dance and develop a technique base with a class once a week. You will not sit exams but your class will be based on R.A.D syllabus work mixed with openwork. You will perform at our end of year concert ‘idance’.

 

EXAM CLASSICAL

This is for the more serious dancer. You will be required to take at least two ballet syllabus classes per week and can be eligible to sit R.A.D classical exams at the teacher's discretion. You also have the wonderful opportunity to be involved in our end of year concert ‘idance’ in our famous ballet revues. These are an exquisite portrayal of time honoured, and our own artistic interpretations of, famous ballets.

You may also have the opportunity to perform classical, lyrical & contemporary pieces if you are invited to join our INDUSTRY DANCE Company who represent the studio at eisteddfods, shows, performance nights and more.
